Lacrosse Falls Just Short At Huntingdon

Montgomery, AL-The Salem College lacrosse team played their best game of the season but fell short in a 16-6 USA South road loss at Huntingdon. Collette Vladimery led the way for the Spirits with 3 goals. Salem falls to 0-3 in the USA South and 0-4 overall, while the Hawks improve to 1-3 and 1-2 in conference.

The first half was back and forth throughout as Huntingdon held a slim 5-3 advantage. The Spirits cut the Hawks lead to 8-6 with just 15 minutes remaining, before Huntingdon scored the final 8 goals of the match.

Madison McCarthy added 2 goals and Hannah Bullock scored her first career goal. Vladimery led the Spirits with 13 shots. Allix Kean had 2 assists, and goalie Hannah Ostlund led the Spirits with 7 ground balls. Ostlund had 23 saves in net. 

Salem will host Brevard this Wednesday at 4:00.
