Soccer wins on the road at Pfeiffer

Misenheimer, NC-The Salem College soccer team was able to go to Pfeiffer and snap their five game win streak last night. Salem scored in the 77th minute to take the game 2-1. The Spirits are now 10-2 overall, while Pfeiffer drops to 6-4.

Jordan Lanier got the scoring started early in the 8th minute in front of the packed house at Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer tied it up in the 22nd minute, and the teams went into the break tied at 1-1. It took Salem 32 minutes to find the game-winning goal in the second half, when Kylie Dillow converted a Jordan Lanier assist to give Salem the win.

Salem held a 12-11 shot advantage and a 7-2 shots on goal advantage in the win. Hannah Bullock and Hannah Wagner split time in goal to earn the win.

Salem returns to the road for a USA South match at Meredith on Saturday at 2:00.
