FIRST YEAR (2022): An integral part of the offense for Salem in her first season, ranking in the Top-5 of 11 major statistical categories including sacrifice flies (1-1st), walks (15-2nd), putouts (123-2nd), hits (23-t-3rd), chances (3rd-142), batting average (.261-4th), fielding percentage (.972-4th), on-base percentage (.365-5th), total bases (26-5th), doubles (3-5th) … made her collegiate debut at Guilford (Feb. 26) … connected on her first collegiate hit (1-3, run) in the second game against the Quakers … had two hits in back-to-back games against Centenary (N.J.) and Shaw, on March 9th and March 19th, respectively … enjoyed a four-game hitting streak from March 9-March 26 … began her longest hitting streak of the season, which spanned six games, with a 1-for-2 outing against William Peace (March 29), reaching base on a double … followed that with singles in two games against Greensboro (April 2) along with singles and one RBI in each clash with Southern Virginia (April 6) … had her last hit of the streak in the opening game of the series with Averett (April 9) … capped off the 2022 campaign on a four-game hitting streak, which began in Rocky Mount, N.C., versus N.C. Wesleyan (April 23) … opened the series against the Battling Bishops with a 2-for-4 outing that included an RBI … followed that with two hits in the second game of the series … emerged with a base hit versus Carolina University (April 24), helping the Spirits capture their ninth win of the slate … ended the season with a 2-for-4 outing, which included an RBI and a double, against the Bruins in the second game of the doubleheader … accounted for the second-most putouts (123) on the team, behind only Madeline Brown.
