DECATUR, Ga. – The Salem softball team concluded its two-day, four-game road trip to Georgia with a series of setbacks to Agnes Scott by scores of 3-2 and 9-1 (5 innings) on Wednesday afternoon in Decatur, Ga.

Salem was led offensively by the tandem of Ashlyn Stokes and Shelby LaPoint, who finished with two hits on the day. Stokes came through with a triple and LaPoint added a double in game one, while the teammates had one single each in the second game.

Cassandra Miller also got an extra-base hit, a double, in game two of the doubleheader.

SALEM HIGHLIGHTS
-Spirits finish the game with six hits, highlighted by Stokes and LaPoint, who tally one RBI apiece.
-Stokes caps off her first game performance with a triple, while LaPoint legs out a double.
-Salem receives hits from Maleah Tate, Madison Long, Karma Morrison and Savanah Atkins.
-Tate caps off the game with a stolen base, her 14th of the season.
-The Spirits evened the game at two-all in the top of the fourth as Stokes tripled down the right field line to score LaPoint. Stokes crossed the plate herself on a single to left by Atkins.

AGNES SCOTT HIGHLIGHTS
-Teammates Mercedes Barker (3-3, RBI, run) and PresLee Hix (2-3, run), who finished with a double, highlighted a Scotties offense that recorded six hits in the game.
-Greenwood tossed 3.2 innings for Agnes Scott, allowing just two hits while striking out four Salem hitters.
-Agnes Scott assumed a 2-0 lead at the close of the first inning with an RBI single up the middle by Colleen Thorson and Barker, which scored Hix and Thorson, respectively.
-Greenwood scored the game-winning run on grounder that plated Barker from third.

SALEM HIGHLIGHTS
-Salem caps off the nightcap with three hits from the trio of Miller, LaPoint and Stokes.
-Miller connects on a double in the game, the lone extra-base hit of the contest for the Spirits.
-Carmen Duffey swipes one base for Salem.
-Both Isabella Morales and Kat Price enter the circle for Salem. Morales tossed one inning, allowing four runs on three hits, while Price saw 3.1 innings and surrendered eight hits and four earned runs while notching one strikeout.
-Salem put the first run of the game on the board in the top of the second when LaPoint dropped a single into right centerfield, scoring Miller from third after she reached on a double and advanced on a passed ball.

AGNES SCOTT HIGHLIGHTS
-Regan Hutto tossed a complete game, five-hitter for the Scotties. The Scotties hurler allowed just three hits, one run and three walks while posting four K's.
-The four through seven hitters did the most damage, coming through with seven hits, four RBI and accounting for five runs.
-Three Agnes Scott sluggers had multi-hit performances in the game, including Sadie McCallum (3-3, RBI, run, double), PresLee Hix (2-2, RBI, run, double) and Megan Smith (2-3, 2 RBI, 2 runs).
-Agnes Scott gained control of the game with a five-run, five-hit second inning. Smith highlighted the frame with a two RBI single to right centerfield that scored Hutto and Gilbert along the way.
-After moving the lead to 6-1 in the third, Agnes Scott scored two runs on three hits in the fourth, keyed by a double to left centerfield by Barker that plated Hix.
-The final run of the game came in the fifth.
