Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer team scored 8 goals in a 21 minute time-frame to cruise to victory against Johnson University in non-conference action. Jordan Lanier had a hat-trick and Taylor Norman had 2 goals and 1 assist in the victory. The Spirits improve to 13-3 overall with the win.

Tarryn Johnson started the scoring in the 13th minute on a Norman assist. Norman scored 2 minutes later on an assist by Sydney Priest, and then again 2 minutes after that on a Morgan Canepa assist. Priest assisted a goal by Summer Rich in the 22nd minute. Lanier scored three unassisted goals between the 26th minute and the 32nd minute. Sierra Hutchins scored an unassisted goal in the 34th minute. Meghan Menard scored in the 45th minute on an assist by Stephanie Verdi.

Becky Irvin scored the only goal in the 2nd half in the 51st minute. Paige Ketchum, Sarah Slates, and Richi Hutchins split time in goal for the shut-out. Salem out-shot Johnson 39-7 and had an 8-1 corner kick advantage.
