SOPHOMORE (2023): Played in 15 matches, making 14 starts on the season … opened the season with a five-goal performance, which resulted in her third career hat trick and equaled Tarryn Bundy’s single-match goal record as the Spirits downed Hollins (Sept. 1) by a 7-0 margin … followed with three goals, becoming the first Salem player with back-to-back hat tricks in program history as she tied Sawyer Ferguson’s program mark for career hat tricks, in a 3-2 victory against St. Andrews (Sept. 6) … scored the lone goal in a 1-1 tie with Agnes Scott (Sept. 15), attempting 10 shots (seven SOG) on the match … netted a goal in a 1-1 deadlock against Meredith (Oct. 7), attempting two shots on goal in the process … delivered two goals, which allowed Salem to tie Pfeiffer (Oct. 21), attempting five shots on goal … established the program record for career hat tricks (five) with a three-goal outing against N.C. Wesleyan (Oct. 25) as the Spirits earned the 3-1 win. She came through with seven shots (six SOG) … helped Salem clinch a spot in the USA South Conference Tournament, netting her 16th goal of the season against Greensboro (Oct. 28), which marks the second-most single-season goals in program history … coincidentally, she tied Bundy for the fourth-most career goals (30) in Salem history.

FIRST YEAR (2022): Wrapped up one of the most impressive first-year seasons in Salem program history, becoming the first player in program history to capture USA South Rookie of the Year honors along with being recognized as a First Team All-Conference honoree … joins Brooke Bukas (2016, 2017), Sydney Priest (2017) and Alyssa Denkovich (2018, 2019) as the fourth different Spirit to earn USA South First Team All-Conference honors … led all Salem players in goals (14), points (30), shots (102), shots on goal (67) and game-winning goals (three) … responsible for a .657 shot on goal percentage … finished with the third-most goals by a Spirits rookie, one off the pace established by Alexi Saganich (2010) and Tarryn Johnson (2014) … began her collegiate career with a pair of goals, including the game winner, at Regent (Sept. 3) … four days later, in an 8-0 victory against Sweet Briar (Sept. 6), she emerged with three goals on 12 shots (nine SOG), earning USA South Rookie of the Week honors for her performances … after making four shots on goal against Averett (Sept. 8), she scored one goal and dished out an assist in a 12-shot (eight SOG) outing in a 3-0 victory over Randolph, helping her claim USA South Rookie of the Week honors … continued her solid play by coming through with a four-goal, eight-point performance, which came by virtue of seven shots (four SOG) at Agnes Scott, grabbing her third straight USA South Rookie of the Week award … became just the fourth player in conference history, dating back to the 2010 season, to receive USA South Conference Rookie of the Week accolades on three occasions in the same season and the second player to receive the honor in consecutive weeks … Nieto joins Cassidy Reich (Piedmont), Payton Stuart (Ferrum) and Celia de Diego (Averett) as the only players to receive the honor at least three times in the same season. More specifically, Nieto and Reich are the only two players in league history to receive the distinction in consecutive weeks … emerged with eight shots against Carolina University (Sept. 24) … scored her first goal in USA South Conference play in a 1-0 win at Mary Baldwin (Oct. 5), attempting six shots (four SOG) along the way … came through with eight shots (five SOG) in a 2-2 deadlock with Meredith (Oct. 8) … capped off a seven-shot (five SOG) outing against Southern Virginia (Oct. 11), with her 12th goal of the slate … had three shots against both William Peace (Oct. 15) and Brevard (Oct. 19) … made seven shots (five SOG) versus Pfeiffer (Oct. 22) along with 11 shots (six SOG) in home finale versus N.C. Wesleyan (Oct. 25) … ended the season with a two-goal, four-point performance, which came by virtue of six shots on goal, in the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament at Methodist (Nov. 1).

PREP: Graduated from Ben L. Smith High School in 2022 … was a four-time letterwinner in soccer for the Eagles … earned two All-Conference awards over the course of her career, 2019 and 2022.
