2021-22 Salem Swimming Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Salem head coach and aquatics director Vavina Lapham announced the Spirits' 2021-22 swimming schedule on Wednesday, September 22nd. The Spirits compete in eight meets, including four at the Salem Aquatics Center, over the course of the slate.

Salem, which begins its first season in the Sun Coast Conference, opens the slate on October 9th at home when the Spirits host league foe Pfeiffer.

"I'm looking forward to a great season with our amazing squad," said Lapham. "It is very exciting to watch this program grow and add new student athletes to the 2021-22 squad as the sport continues to grow both here in the Triad and across the globe."

The Spirits make their home debut on Saturday, October 30th when they host the trio of Greensboro, Southern Virginia and Roanoke. Competing for the second time in as many weekends, Salem makes the short trip to Greensboro to take part in the Guilford Invitational at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on November 6th.

The final meet in November takes place over a four-day stretch in Cary, N.C., when Salem takes part in the William Peace Invitational. The meet begins on Wednesday, November 17th and continues until Saturday, November 21st with events taking place each day.

The lone meet in December for Salem will take place at Greensboro on Saturday, December 4th at the Greensboro College campus.

The Spirits wrap up the regular season with a pair of home meets in January. The first of those is against William Peace, which is set for Wednesday, January 19th, and will be followed by a clash with Greensboro on Saturday, January 29th.

Those two meets will serve as the final warm up for the 2022 Sun Coast Conference Championship Meet that takes place on February 9-12. The meet is set for Fort Pierce, Florida on the campus of Indian River State College.
