WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Salem swim team began wrapped up a rigorous two-meet in two-day stretch by facing the combination of Chowan, Greensboro and Piedmont in a meet hosted at the Salem Aquatic Center on Saturday, January 28th.

Less than 24 hours after competing at Mars Hill, N.C., against the host Lions and Warren Wilson on Friday afternoon, the Spirits returned to the pool on Saturday.

The Spirits were clipped by Chowan (123-15), Greensboro (80-22) and Piedmont (219-9) in the team competition.

Individually, Kylie Clark was a bright spot for Salem with three Top-10 finishes in Saturday's meet. She claimed sixth-place 100 backstroke (1:41.01) and 100 freestyle (1:33.32), while placing ninth in the 50 freestyle with a mark of 37.86.

Eleanore Regenthal was also solid for Salem in the event, posting a fifth-place finish in the 500 freestyle (9:52.62). She capped off her afternoon with a 10th-place outing in the 50 freestyle with a mark of 39.03.
