Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team lost in three close sets to Agnes Scott today. The 3-0 (23-25, 19-25, 19-25) win clinches the regular season title for the Scotties. Salem celebrated their lone senior, Brandy Bednorz, during her final regular season match. Salem falls to 3-13 overall and 2-2 in the GSAC, while Agnes Scott improves to 9-13 and 4-0.

The first set was back and forth before the Scotties pulled away over the last two points after a 23-23 tie. The Scotties were able to use the momentum from their first set win to win the next two sets by 6.

Bednorz led the Spirits with 27 set assists and 14 digs. Mariah Sharon led the Spirits with 10 kills and she also had 8 digs. Kylie Taffer added 7 digs and 2 solo blocks.

The Spirits travel to Hollins this coming Tuesday night in non-conference action.
