Octaportitkenatsu! That's our version of cheers in the Vladimery household. If you Google it, you wouldn't find any results. Its specific to the Armenian language.

Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

I just wanted to take a moment to share with everyone my favorite quote of ALL TIME, "imagine what you'll know tomorrow."

I first heard that from the movie Men in Black from agent K. I didn't really think much about the quote until this semester. This is the whole context of the conversation:

Edwards: Why the big secret? People are smart. They can handle it.

Kay: A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

Thinking back on the year, the semester, even the past few weeks. I keep thinking to myself… "imagine what you'll know tomorrow, Collette." I've learned so much this year about myself when it comes to courage, commitment, self love, time management, how to be a visionary, and different ways to lead people. I thought I knew how to be an effective leader, how to better manage my time, and what courage was.

I think this quote applies to more than the general knowledge you'll gain. I think it's about the personal accomplishments and preconceived notions people hold about themselves and the world around them. There's more to life than the news, or social media, or what other people tell you. Take some time to do things that bring you joy and happiness. Take some time to reflect and think about more than the big things happening in the world. The small things matter too.

Imagine what you'll know tomorrow. Not just about aliens, or COVID-19. Imagine what you'll know about yourself if you just take a minute and learn about yourself, not what other people tell you about yourself.
