Brianne Coleman Offers Inspiration to Salem Community

To all of my Salem Siblings,

Keep pushing! You are almost to the finish line!. Whether your finish line may be the end of the semester or graduation, you're almost there!

This school year, being the first full year in this new virtual world, has been one crazy roller coaster ride. Although it may not seem like it, the positives are there. This year we have learned so much, whether it's to adapt to unpredictable changes or to appreciate the little things in life.

As a student in the middle of a pandemic, it hasn't been easy but it's been full of growth. As individuals, we have all learned ways to cope with this change. You've learned what works best for you being an online student. Maybe you've even learned new time management or communication skills in this period of minimal human interaction. Whatever it may be, be grateful for the positives in this journey.

You've almost made it through an entire school year of this, despite all of the ups and downs. You've accomplished so many things, some that you may have never imagined.

Now, it's time for exams! While taking the time to study and prepare, don't forget to continue to take care of yourself. Take breaks. Remember to use the resources that are available to you and don't be afraid to ask for help.

"What's done is done. What's gone is gone. One of life's lessons is always moving on. It's okay to look back to see how far you've come but keep moving forward." - Roy T. Bennett

Keep shooting for the stars and following your dreams.

You can do this!
