Salem head coach Barry Rymer appointed former Spirit standout Corrin Shores as Assistant Coach prior to the start of the 2021 campaign. Shores was a three-sport athlete during her time at Salem, competing in volleyball, swimming and basketball, played in 178 sets over the course of her three-year volleyball career.

A native of Elkin, N.C., Shores notched 389 digs (2.19 digs/set), posted 61 service aces, handed out 30 assists and drove home 21 kills in her Salem volleyball career. She finished her career 12th on the all-time service ace list and 13th in digs per set.

One of her best single-match performances came on September 2, 2017, where she recorded seven service aces in a clash with Mary Baldwin. By the end of the 2017 season, Shores posted the fifth-best service percentage (0.50) in program history.

Shores was named as a member of the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team in 2018 for her demeanor on the court.

Her best statistical season came as a junior, where she ranked in the top-five of three major statistical categories, including service aces (34—2nd), digs (208—5th) and digs / set (2.14—5th). She had at least five digs in 21 of 28 matches on the season, including an eight-dig outing at Bridgewater (Aug. 30). That same weekend she added seven digs and three service aces against Delaware Valley and nine digs versus Eastern Mennonite on Aug. 31 to cap off the Route 42 Classic.

She closed out a USA South clash at Methodist with eight digs and a service ace on Sept. 25 before topping double figure digs (15) at N.C. Wesleyan (Oct. 5). Shores capped off October by recording 15 digs and 13 digs against Greensboro (Oct. 26) and Pfeiffer (Oct. 30), respectively. She reached her single-match season-high in digs (17) at Emory & Henry (Nov. 3) before ending the season with 12 digs against Greensboro (Nov. 5) in the opening round of the USA South Conference tournament.

Upon the completion of the 2019 volleyball season, Shores joined the Salem swimming program and chalked up nine Top-3 finishes over the course of the season. Her best individual finish (first) came at the Pfeiffer Dual on February 1, 2020, where she touched the wall of the 50 freestyle in 29.59.

Shores was also a competitor in the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay during her Salem swim career, earning first in the medley relay during a dual meet with Pfeiffer (November 9) and closing out the season with a first against the Falcons on February 1, 2020.
