Bunker Hill's Lineberger commits to play softball at Salem

Claremont, NC-The Salem College softball team is pleased to announce that Montana Lineberger has committed to play softball at Salem next fall. Lineberger played softball for Coach Danny Sifford and Coach Randy Joines at Bunker Hill High School. 

Lineberger was an all-conference softball player in 2012 and 2013. She has been a four year varsity member for Bunker Hill. She also has played club softball for the Catawba Chaos, River Bend Bandits, and most recently the Carolina Cobras. 

She also played basketball, volleyball, and ran cross country for the Bears. She was the basketball and volleyball team most valuable player. 

Lineberger excelled in clubs and academics at Bunker Hill. She was on the academic honor roll and a member of the Beta Club. She also was in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Youth Group, Optimist Club, and Spirit Club.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. The institution boasts a proud history of fostering independence for women.
