Basketball wins big against Mid-Atlantic

Raleigh, NC- Salem won their first game of the season in a blow-out. The Spirits won in the consolation game of the Jackie Ammons Tournament hosted by William Peace. They cruised to a 77-47 win against Mid-Atlantic Christian. Quntashea Lewis poured in 24 points and 15 rebounds for her third-straight double-double. Salem improves to 1-3. 

Lewis earned Jackie Ammons All-Tournament honors. The Spirits jumped out to an early 19-10 win after the first quarter. They outscored Mid-Atlantic 24-9 in the second quarter to pull out to a 24 point lead at the break. 

Sabrina Shepherd finished with 21 points. Alexiahonna Bush and MiKayla Seivers each had 9 rebounds for the Spirits. Aaliyah Webb finished with her career-high 11 points.

The Spirits play at Greensboro College this Tuesday.
