Basketball loses on road at Warren Wilson

Asheville, NC-The Salem College basketball team fell 80-64 on the road against Warren Wilson last night. The Owls had a strong first half and Salem was unable to comeback in the second half. Quntashea Lewis led the Spirits with 24 points. Salem falls to 3-12 overall.

The Spirits headed to Asheville after an important conference win this past weekend against Agnes Scott. Warren Wilson jumped out to a 21-11 lead after the first quarter. The Owls had a dominant second quarter and extended their lead to 44-17 at the half. Salem outscored Warren Wilson 47-36 in the second half.

Lewis also led the Spirits with 7 rebounds. Tamara Blanton had a strong game with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and a team-leading 5 assists. Mikayla Seivers had 14 points and Sabrina Shepherd had 11 points.

Salem returns to the road this weekend to play Johnson in Tennessee.
