Bishop Ready's Hamilton commits to play soccer at Salem

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer program is encouraged to announce that Paige Hamilton committed to attend Salem next fall. Hamilton played three years of varsity soccer for Coach Elise Berry and Coach Joe Waldo at Bishop Ready High School in Columbus, OH. 

Hamilton was as a second team all-conference performer in 2008, and her team's most improved player. She helped lead her team to their first ever trip to the district semifinals in 2009. Hamilton also competed for four years on the track and field team at Bishop Ready. Hamilton is an excellent figure skater. She will represent Salem at the Collegiate National Skating Championships in August. She recently finished in 12th at the Midwestern Sectionals last fall.

Hamilton ranked 8th in her class at Bishop Ready. She was on the honor roll every semester, and she was a member of National Honor Society. She was a member of Beta Club, French Club, and she was a National Merit Commended Scholar. Hamilton plans to major in Biology (Pre-Med) at Salem. She is the daughter of Teresa and Robert Hamilton.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. Salem was recently ranked number 67 in Forbes magazines second annual ranking of America's 600 best colleges, and as Forbes' number fourteen in their "America's Best College Buys" Top 100.
