Justice, Bringhurst, and Thiel selected to GSAC All-Conference soccer teams

LaGrange, GA-Tatum Justice, Tia Bringhurst, and Sabrina Thiel were selected to the Great South Athletic All-Conference soccer teams. Justice was placed on the GSAC All-Conference first team, and Thiel and Bringhurst were placed on the All-Freshman team. The three were a major part of the soccer team finishing 12-7-1 this season, and reaching the GSAC semifinals.

Justice, a sophomore from Jacksonville, NC, played both central defender and center forward for the Spirits this season. She scored five goals in the last six games of the season for the Spirits, and helped the defense only allow a 1.05 goals against average. Justice was selected as a GSAC Player of the Week one time this season. She was also placed on the Meredith Matchup All-Tournament team. She was tied for first on the team with three game-winning goals.

Bringhurst, a first year from Hurricane, UT, played as a left forward for the team this year. She led the team with 10 goals and 21 points on the season. She was also tied for first on the team with three game-winning goals, and was on the Meredith Matchup All-Tournament team. 

Thiel, a first year from Hillsboro, OH, played as a defensive midfielder throughout the season. She was third on the team with 7 goals and 16 points. She also played a major part in the defense recording seven shutouts. 

Kirby Callaway (Fayetteville, NC), Samantha Hubbard (Sanford, NC), Tara Madden (Greenville, SC), and Kim Wisen (Madison, OH) were all placed on the GSAC All-Academic Team. To be placed on the all-academic team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore and maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
