Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer team lost 2-0 in a Great South match at home against Piedmont College. Piedmont scored 2 second half goals to defeat the Spirits. Salem falls to 7-4-1 and Piedmont improves to 12-0-1.

Salem played a great first half with 5 shots and 3 on goal. Piedmont scored a goal in the first minute of the second half, and then scored again 23 minutes later. Each team ended with 10 shots and 1 corner kick. Taylor Barcom (Anchorage, AK) recorded 3 saves on the day.

The Spirits return to action on October 18th when they host Covenant.
