Soccer defeats Methodist 2-0 at home

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College soccer team defeated a tough Methodist side today 2-0 at home in a non-conference match. Tarryn Bundy (West Deptford, NJ) and Sawyer Ferguson (Billings, MT) each had a goal and an assist in the win. Salem improves to 8-3 this season.

Bundy got the scoring started very early in the 3rd minute on a pass from Ferguson. Ferguson put the game away in the 21st minute when she finished a Bundy assist.

Paige Ketchum (Jacksonville, NC) got the complete game shut-out in the net for the Spirits. Each team had 10 shots, and the Spirits had a 4-1 corner kick advantage.

The Spirits hit the road for their last 2 regular season away games this season. They will travel to Alabama to take on Huntingdon on Saturday, and to Georgia to play Wesleyan on Sunday. Each game is a Great South match.
