Soccer improves to 6-2 with win at Agnes Scott

Decatur, GA- The Salem College soccer team came back from a halftime

deficit to defeat Agnes Scott 2-1 in a Great South match.  Sawyer Ferguson (Billings, MT) scored both goals in the win.  Salem improves to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the GSAC. 

The Scotties got on the board in the 13th minute and held the lead through the 1st half.  The Spirits came out hard to start the second half and it paid off with a Ferguson goal in the 53rd minute.  Ferguson scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute.  Taylor Norman (Springfield, VA) assisted both goals. 

Salem out shot Agnes Scott 17-6 and had a 2-1 corner kick advantage.  Jessi Carter (Tampa, FL) and Paige Ketchum (Jacksonville, NC) split time in the goal for the win. 

The Spirits return to action in another GSAC road match at Covenant College in Tennessee next Saturday at 7:00.
