Soccer improves to 7-3 with win against Warren Wilson

team defeated Warren Wilson 4-3 at home on a rainy field. Tarryn Bundy (West Deptford, NJ) scored twice in the last 8 minutes to pick up the win. Salem improves to 7-3 overall with the victory.

The Spirits fell behind 1-0 early and Sawyer Ferguson (Billings, MT) tied up the score on a penalty kick in the 16th minute. The game went into the break tied at 1.

Salem took a 2-1 lead on a goal by Sataj Johnson (Corona, CA) off an assist by Bethany Kent (Manassas, VA) in the 70th minute. Warren Wilson would score twice to take back a 3-2 lead. Bundy tied the game in the 83rd minute on a cross by Ferguson, and scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute on a MacKenzie Schmidt (Columbus, OH) pass.

The Spirits controlled possession throughout the game. They out shot the Owls 19-5, and they had a 9-3 corner kick advantage.

Salem returns to action at home on Wednesday the 3rd when they host Methodist in a non-conference match.
