Ferrum, VA-The Salem College soccer team won their 7th straight game with a 1-0 victory at Ferrum. The game was played on a very wet surface with rain falling the whole game. Tarryn Johnson scored the lone goal on a penalty kick in the 69th minute. Salem improves to 11-2 overall, while Ferrum falls to 6-6.
Kimmi Templeton picked up the shutout in goal with 3 saves. Salem outshot Ferrum 18-7 in the game. They also had a 7-2 corner kick advantage.
The Spirits host the #3 team in the nation (Lynchburg) this coming Sunday at 4:00.
