MEET-BY-MEET / PERSONAL BEST RESULTS

FIRST-YEAR (2023-24 / SWIMMING): Joined the Salem swimming program after competing in volleyball … made her season debut on January 13th in a meet that featured Greensboro, Guilford and Randolph by competing in the 50 freestyle (36.17), 100 freestyle (1:32.81) and 100 backstroke (1:43.52) … also raced with Omega Pinnix, Madison Fullerton and Marabeth Huffman on January 13th in the 200 medley relay, posting a time of 2:30.70 … took part in three events 50 freestyle (35.53), 100 backstroke (1:38.00) and 200 backstroke (4:09.90) at the Hollins Dual (Jan. 20) … delivered a second-place finish, along with a personal record, in 200 backstroke and a third-place in the 100 backstroke against Hollins (Jan. 20) … capped off her final meet of the campaign on January 27th at the Salem Fast Chance Meet, which featured Greensboro and Warren Wilson, by competing in the 50 freestyle (33.63), 100 backstroke (1:34.79) and 100 freestyle (1:22.60).

FIRST YEAR (2023 / VOLLEYBALL): One of five Spirits to finish with 100 kills on the season … also had the fifth-most digs (152) and total blocks (19) in her first year at Salem … notched at least five kills on 11 occasions … made her collegiate debut against Thiel (Sept. 1), posting one kill and one dig in the process … responsible for seven digs against Virginia Wesleyan (Sept. 2) … established her single-match season-high in kills (10), adding five digs along the way, against Randolph (Sept. 8) … came through with seven kills and a single-match season-high 17 digs against Roanoke (Sept. 8), five kills against Ferrum (Sept. 9) and seven kills versus Hollins (Sept. 9) to help her clinch USA South Rookie of the Week honors … slammed home four kills (.308 attack percentage) at Meredith (Sept. 14) … had consecutive six-kill performances versus N.C. Wesleyan (Sept. 23), where she posted a .375 attack percentage, and Methodist (Sept. 26) … tallied five kills and a .417 attack percentage in three sets against Mary Baldwin (Oct. 7) … finished off a four-set clash with Meredith (Oct. 9) with five kills and a .385 attack percentage … delivered seven kills, a .353 attack percentage and an assisted block in a five-set thriller versus Bob Jones (Oct. 28) … came through with three kills and a .273 attack percentage in the Quarterfinals of the USA South Conference Tournament against William Peace (Nov. 7).

PREP: Graduated from Reagan High School in 2023, but was also dual enrolled at Forsyth Tech … a two-sport athlete who competed in both volleyball (four years) and beach volleyball (two years) … competed on the Club Volleyball circuit for nine seasons.

PERSONAL: Adalyn Raney … daughter of Laura and Justin Raney … born on April 30, 2005 … has two siblings, Grayden and Mason … father (Justin) played Club Volleyball at Miami University … recognized as an honor roll student and is a member of National Honor Society.
