Emory, VA- The Volleyball Team of Salem College traveled into southwest Virginia Wednesday evening to play the Wasps of Emory & Henry College. The more experienced and seasoned Wasp team defeated Salem 16-30, 18-30 and 13-30. Kristine Tillman (FY, King, NC) had 6 kills, 7 digs, 8 blocks and 2 aces. Katie Lineberger (Jr., Maiden, NC) had 6 kills, 4 digs and 4 blocks. Whitney Sorenson (Jr., Glendale, AZ) had 6 kills, 14 digs, 4 blocks and 3 aces. “Alyssa Alcos (FY, Jacksonville, FL) played great defense,” according to Head Coach Amanda Ziemba.
