Draughn's Bradshaw commits to play volleyball for Salem

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball program is excited to announce that Aubrey Bradshaw committed to attend Salem next fall. Bradshaw was an outside hitter for Coach Cindy Powell at Jimmy C. Draughn High School in Morganton, NC.

Bradshaw competed for two years of varsity play at East Burke High School, and then transferred to Draughn where she played varsity for two more years. She was her team's most valuable player and was an all-conference selection in 2008 and 2009. Bradshaw helped lead her team to a conference championship in 2008. She also played club volleyball for Coach Bobby Costner with the Burke County Volleyball Club from 2008-2010.

Bradshaw was very involved at Draughn in many other areas including as a North Carolina Scholar. She was also in the Key Club, the Spanish Honor Society, and the Anchor Club. Bradshaw intends to major in Biology at Salem, and she is the daughter of Sherri and Willie Bradshaw.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. The institution boasts a proud history of fostering independence in women. Salem was recently ranked number 67 in Forbes magazines second annual ranking of America's 600 best colleges, and as Forbes' number fourteen in their "America's Best College Buys" Top 100.
