East Wilkes High's Money commits to play volleyball at Salem

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball program is excited to announce the addition of Kassandra (Kassi) LeAnne Money who committed to attend Salem next fall. Money had a strong career as a defensive specialist for Coach Shelia Holloway at East Wilkes High School in Ronda, NC.

Money was selected to the honorable mention all-conference team as a senior. She was her team's most valuable player for defense as a senior, and was chosen as a floor captain. Money was also a member of the basketball and the softball team at East Wilkes.

Money was also very involved at East Wilkes in other areas including as the Senior Class President this year. She was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Students Against Drunk Driving, and she was Junior Representative for the Key Club. Money plans on majoring in elementary education at Salem, and she is the daughter of Katy Money.

Salem College is a NCAA Division III institution located in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is the oldest educational institution for women in the United States, and was founded in 1772. The institution boasts a proud history of fostering independence in women. Salem was recently ranked number 67 in Forbes magazines second annual ranking of America's 600 best colleges, and as Forbes' number fourteen in their "America's Best College Buys" Top 100.
