Volleyball defeats Piedmont Baptist for the second time this year

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team defeated neighbor Piedmont Baptist College for the second time this season in a non-conference game. Salem defeated Piedmont Baptist in four sets (25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 25-17). Keri Nolan (Calabash, NC) led the Spirits with 17 kills in the match. Salem improves to 7-11 on the season.

Sara Maher (Longmont, CO) led the Spirits with 29 set assists, and Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) added 10 of her own. Christine Tillman (King, NC) had 11 kills in the match, and she led Salem with 4 blocks. Randi Roppolo (Weeki Wachee, FL) provided 11 digs for the Spirits, and Jamica Rice (Winston-Salem, NC) had 9 digs. Roppolo also led the Spirits with 3 service aces. 

The team heads to Georgia for the weekend. They take on Toccoa Falls in a non-conference match on Friday. The Spirits then play two pivotal GSAC matches at Piedmont College against Piedmont and LaGrange on Saturday.
