Volleyball drops two matches in first day of the Gallaudet Invitational

Washington, D.C.-The Salem College volleyball team lost two matches in the first day of the Gallaudet University Invitational today against the host school and Shenandoah University. Salem lost in their first match to Gallaudet (14-25, 23-25, 15-25) and to Shenandoah (15-25, 25-27, 18-25). Salem falls to 2-15 on the season with the losses.

In the match against Gallaudet, Randi Roppolo led the Spirits with 6 kills. Katie O'Leary (Seldova, AK) had 3 block assists, and Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) led the team with 8 set assists.

The Spirits return to action tomorrow when they take on Allegheny at 10 am.
