Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College volleyball team hosted their second home match of the season against Meredith. Meredith held on in all three sets to win 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 19-25). Olivia Newbern (Barco, NC) led the Spirits with 11 kills, 9 digs, and 4 service aces. Salem falls to 1-6 after the loss.

Zy Henderson (Spartanburg, SC) had another strong defensive night with 12 digs to lead the Spirits. Taylor Rhodes (Jamestown, NC) was also strong on defense with 9 digs, and she had 4 kills. Michelle Morgan (Chattanooga, TN) finished with 11 kills, and Chelsea Jones (Glade Valley, NC) had 34 set assists to lead Salem.

The Spirits return to action this Saturday as they host a tri-match with Piedmont and Greensboro.
