Bluefield, WV-The Salem College volleyball team fell 3-0 (11-25, 19-25, 16-25) at Bluefield State last night. Julissa Almonte led the team with 5 kills. The Spirits fall to 2-8 overall, while Bluefield St. improves to 7-4.

Almonte had a .400 hitting percentage. Mariah Sharon led the team with 6 digs and 1 service ace. Brandy Bednorz had 13 set assists. Bernisha Master had 3 kills and a .500 hitting percentage. 

The Spirits return to action on October 8th, when they host Hollins.
