SENIOR (2023): Put together a record-breaking season for the Spirits, finishing with the most single-season kills (362) in program history at a clip of 3.07 kills/set … also led the way in total digs (379) by averaging 3.21 digs/set … tallied the third-most service aces (35) on the season … became the third player in program history to amass 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs, finishing with 1,023 kills and 1,362 digs, in program history along with Taylor Moulton and Kylie Taffer … became the first player in Salem volleyball history to end at least a four-year career with a winning record (59-57) at the close of her career ... had 21 double-digit kill outings and 17 double-double performances on the slate … enjoyed her first double figure kill performance (11) against Thiel (Sept. 1), posting a .529 attack percentage … responsible for 10 kills and 12 digs at Virginia Wesleyan (Sep. 2) before delivering 12 kills and 13 digs against Bridgewater (Va.) later that same day … posted 12 kills, 13 digs and a .385 attack percentage at Roanoke (Sept. 8) … slammed home 16 kills, adding 13 digs and a .317 attack percentage in Salem’s victory over Ferrum (Sept. 9) … had the first of seven double-digit kill outings at William Peace (Sept. 16), closing with 19 kills, 10 digs and a .341 attack percentage … followed that with 15 kills against both Mary Washington (Sept. 16) and Brevard (Sept. 19), before driving home 14 kills in the first of two matches against N.C. Wesleyan (Sept. 23) … responsible for 11 kills in the second clash against the Battling Bishops on September 23rd … established the program record for single-match kills (27), finishing with a .353 attack percentage, while contributing 15 digs in a five-set win over Methodist (Sept. 26) … closed out her seven-match double-digit streak with 12 versus William Peace (Sept. 28), where she added 12 digs in the process … came through with 12 kills against Meredith (Oct. 9) … penetrated the defense for 14 kills, a .423 attack percentage and 19 digs versus Brevard (Oct. 17) … had 11 kills, .435 attack percentage and added 11 digs against N.C. Wesleyan (Oct. 21) … began a six-match double-digit kill streak with 11 at Pfeiffer (Oct. 28) … contributed 11 kills against both Bob Jones (Oct. 28) and Southern Virginia (Nov. 1), both resulting in five-set victories … drove home 13 kills (.333 attack pct.) and added 11 digs versus Roanoke (Nov. 4) before closing out Senior Day with 14 kills and a .600 attack percentage versus Mary Baldwin (Nov. 4) … notched her 1,000th career kill in the third set of the match with Mary Baldwin (Nov. 4) … opened the 2023 USA South Conference Tournament with 11 kills and 18 digs as Salem downed William Peace (Nov. 7) in five sets … concluded the final match of her career, against Meredith (Nov. 9) with 12 digs and seven kills in the Semifinals of the USA South Conference Tournament.

JUNIOR (2022): Became the fourth different Spirit in program history to eclipse the 300-kill mark in a single season, finishing with 304 on the slate, second-most on the team … joined teammate Aspen Bradley, who finished with 351 kills, as the second set of teammates in program history with 300 kills in a single season … also ranked among Top-5 statistical leaders in total attacks (851-1st), kills/set (2.69-2nd), digs (373-2nd), digs/set (3.30-3rd), service aces (27-4th) and total blocks (21-5th) … opened the season with 10 kills (.368 attack pct.) and eight digs against Johnson & Wales (Sept. 6) … notched her first double-double (19 digs / 13 kills) against Roanoke (Sept. 9) … came through with 12 kills and 12 digs against Randolph (Sept. 10) … emerged with 16 digs and eight kills (.412 attack pct.) versus Ferrum (Sept. 13) … posted four consecutive double doubles against Bob Jones (14 digs / 11 kills, Sept. 16), Huntingdon (13 digs / 14 kills, Sept. 17), Greensboro (14 digs / 10 kills, Sept. 21) and Methodist (12 digs / 11 kills, Sept. 24) … capped off a solid outing against Southern Virginia (Sept. 29) with 20 digs and 10 kills … opened October with 18 kills (.293 attack pct.) and 18 digs in a five-set win against Meredith (Oct. 8) … followed that with 15 kills (.323 attack pct.) and 15 digs versus Pfeiffer (Oct. 8) … emerged with 15 digs and 12 kills in a five-set win against William Peace (Oct. 11) … exploded for 16 kills (.448 attack pct.) along with 13 digs against Mary Baldwin (Oct. 15) … penetrated the Roanoke (Oct. 17) defense for 10 kills (.318 attack pct.) and 11 digs … notched her 13th double-double of the season (18 digs / 13 kills) against N.C. Wesleyan (Oct. 21) … established her single-match season-high in digs (23) while adding 14 kills against William Peace (Oct. 22) … came through with 21 digs and nine kills against Meredith (Oct. 29) … opened the USA South Conference Tournament with 17 kills and 10 digs against Meredith (Nov. 1).

SOPHOMORE (2021): A staple in the Salem lineup, playing in 23 matches (82 sets) … topped the team in kills (282), kills/set (3.44), total attacks (173), service aces (17), digs (344), digs/set (4.20) and double-doubles (13) … ranked fifth in total blocks (21), converting 15 assisted blocks and six solo blocks, which were second-most on the unit … recorded her first of 15 double-digit kill matches in the season opener against Bridgewater (Sept. 3), closing with 12, while adding 23 digs … capped off a three-set match against Eastern Mennonite (Sept. 4) with 13 kills and 17 digs, her second double-double of the season … completed the opening weekend of play with 23 digs and eight kills against Marymount (Sept. 4) … earned USA South Defensive Player of the Week honors after her opening weekend of the season, which resulted in 63 digs (6.30 digs/set) and 33 kills (3.30 kills/set) … responsible for 17 digs against Ferrum (Sept. 7) … had her first of five straight double doubles (23 kills / 21 digs) at Ferrum (Sept. 16) … followed that with 17 kills and 17 digs versus Guilford (Sept. 18) … drove home 19 kills and added 20 digs at Pfeiffer (Sept. 21) … tallied 21 kills and 17 digs at N.C. Wesleyan (Oct. 16) … began a stretch of three straight double-double performances against Averett (Oct. 23) with 10 kills and 17 digs … four days later, against Methodist, closed out the home slate with 13 kills and 16 digs … drove home 10 kills and added 10 digs at William Peace (Oct. 28) … slammed 19 kills and was responsible for 14 digs in a win over Mary Baldwin (Oct. 30).

FIRST YEAR (2019): Wrapped up a solid freshman season by ranking in the top-five of three major statistical categories including service aces (51—1st), digs (266—3rd) and digs / set (2.63—3rd) … ended her collegiate debut against Wilson (Aug. 30) with 12 digs, four kills and four service aces … added six kills and a dig at Bridgewater (Aug. 30) in the nightcap of the Route 42 Classic … tallied nine digs and two service aces against Brevard (Sept. 6) … added nine digs and four kills, while posting a .267 attack percentage, versus Maryville (Sept. 14) … established her single-match season-high in digs (22) versus Guilford (Sept. 14) … put together three double-digit dig performances against Averett (12), N.C. Wesleyan (13) and Greensboro (12) to open October … emerged with 12 digs, nine kills and a .350 attack percentage against Methodist (Oct. 16) … closed out a clash with Mary Baldwin (Oct. 19) with 10 digs, eight kills and two service aces … contributed 21 digs and one service ace in a win at Greensboro (Oct. 26) … closed out October with 10 digs against Pfeiffer (Oct 30) … had nine digs in back-to-back matches against both Meredith (Nov. 1) and Sewanee (Nov. 3) … posted her first career double-double (13 digs / 12 kills), while contributing three service aces, at Emory & Henry (Nov. 3) … capped off the season with 17 digs and two kills against Greensboro (Nov. 5) in the opening round of the USA South Conference tournament.

PREP: Graduated from West Forsyth High School in 2019 … a three-year letterwinner in both volleyball and sand volleyball under the direction of head coach Lauren Yacobi … served as the captain for the volleyball team in her senior season.

PERSONAL: Valeria Rosa Lopez … daughter of Diana Lopez and Edrick Rosa … born May 19, 2001 … has two siblings, Aleisha and Aurora … played four years on the Club Volleyball circuit, including one season with Set Point Volleyball Club (2015) … three-year member of the Piedmont Volleyball Club (2016-19).
